Mythological Word of the Day:

Metamorphosis: any complete change in appearance, character, circumstances, etc.

Mythological Root: From the god, Morpheus. Morpheus was the god of dreams. The Greeks believed that when you dreamed, this god took the shape of someone in your life(such as friends, families, people who have passed, and sometimes other gods) in order to pass on a message to you. For example, the great Trojan War hero Akilles(Achilles) had a dream about his friend Patroklos after he had passed. Morpheus took the shape of Patroklos in Akilles' dream to tell him to move on with life because Akilles was being rash and offending the gods because of his overwhelming grief of losing his best and dearest friend.

Why am I doing this?

This semester, I have a class called "Mythology". I have a taken a fascination with it and I am now considering it for a minor in college. So, this blog is going to be dedicated to mythology. Anything mythology I find in my everyday life, I will post it here and explain it based on my own knowledge from the class or if I look it up. It's mostly just for the fun of it for those of you who don't know much about mythology. It truly is fascinating. I hope you enjoy it and I'm going to try to update it once, twice, maybe even three times a week.
